Dear friends and members,
In co-operation with the World Federalist Movement – Canada, we would like to invite you and friends or family to the launch of the book A UN Renaissance: What the UN is and what it could be, on February 9/Friday from 4:30–7:00 PM at the Army Officers’ Mess (149 Somerset St. West, east of Elgin).
This timely contribution, to current and much needed discussion and debate about the future of the UN, was written by Prof. John Trent and Laura Schnurr.
Chances are good that you will recognize the first name, as John Trent is among Canada’s leading experts on global affairs. A Fellow of the Centre on Governance at the University of Ottawa, he chaired the University’s Department of Political Science and was Secretary General of the International Political Science Association for over a decade.
Having done an MA at the University of Freiburg, Laura Schnurr is making her name working on social innovation with J.W. McConnell Foundation and running a social enterprise operating in Canada and Africa.
We have attached a poster and are forwarding a message from World Federalists (see below).
Yours,
Tara-Marie Andronek (Co-President)
Shane Roberts (Co-President)
